About Us

SportFit K9 Conditioning & Rehabilitation was founded by Michelle Gibbs, built on a lifelong passion for dogs and for the sports that showcase their incredible intelligence, ability and athleticism.

With over two decades of experience spanning canine performance, rehabilitation, and lifelong mobility, Michelle has developed a deep, practical understanding of the physical and mental demands placed on both sport and family companion dogs.  This insight shapes every aspect of the SportFit K9 approach, from injury prevention and performance conditioning to post-surgical rehabilitation and guided return-to-sport or return-to-life integrative programming.

Michelle brings advanced training in canine strength and conditioning, complemented by specialized education in canine bodywork, laser therapy, and therapeutic modalities. She combines this knowledge with a practical, real-world perspective gained through years of training, competing, and caring for her own dogs.

Her philosophy is simple: well-conditioned dogs are more resilient, perform better, and recover more effectively, and live better lives from dog sport venues to the cherished companion pet home. Every program she designs reflects a commitment to protecting long-term health, strength and mobility.

Known for her detail-oriented, results-driven approach, Michelle partners closely with dog owners and veterinarians to create thoughtful, customized plans that support each dog’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle.

At the heart of SportFit K9 is Michelle’s belief that every dog—competing or not—is a cherished part of our lives and deserves to move and feel their absolute best.
